The last month has been a whirlwind of activity and certainly filled with long days and obstacles.  But we have made significant progress in our recovery and rebuild plan.  Morale is high and we are all starting to feel like some progress is taking place.

In addition to re-establishing corporate operations at the plant site with our new offices during the first two weeks, the last of the month saw significant progress on the demolition of the damaged structure and remediation of salvageable tooling and production equipment.

The Before
The back bay comes down.
The Now – A clean slab to start fresh.

Our next steps on the demo are to finish removing the remaining debris and then test our concrete to see if it is structurally sound.  That will help make decisions on location and design of the new factory.  We are fortunate to have plenty of land at our site if we need to shift the site of the factory.

While the demo was occuring, our team was also working to setup temporary fabrication operations.

Mobile tent structures that can be broken down and saved in the containers for future field use.

These structures will help conduct temporary operations and keep everyone out of the August heat.

We are also performing maintenance and rehabilitation on salvageable molds and production equipment.  This is much needed work that is always difficult to find time to perform so we are making the most of the production downtime.

One of our large mandrels in need of some TLC.

That’s Better!
We’ve also been working on touch ups on other upcoming tooling needs.

It won’t be long before we are performing work at the site again and slowly but surely we will be back on our feet soon.  Continued thanks to all for the well wishes and support.   Keep it coming!
